CONFERENCES & WORKSHOPS
The 4th edition of the Namibia’s International Energy Conference will be held from 20th – 22nd April 2022 in Windhoek, Namibia, organized by Rich Africa Consultancy. It is going to be the official meeting place for the energy industry. The two-day flagship event will be held under the patronage of the Ministry of Mines and Energy led by Hon. Minister Tom Alweendo.

RichAfrica Consultancy hosted the third edition of Namibia’s International Oil & Gas Conference held from 24 to 25 April 2019 at the coastal city of Swakopmund, Namibia. Themed, ‘Building Partnerships to Transform Africa’s Oil and Gas Industry’, this bespoke thought-leadership platform was hosted in partnership with the National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (NAMCOR), endorsement of the Ministry of Mines and Energy, and the support from the African Energy Chamber.
Conference Presentations
RichAfrica organised a successful workshop on Public-Private Partnership in Swakopmund, Namibia, which was facilitated by leading PPP Experts including NortonRoseFulbright, Mott MacDonald and the University of Pretoria.
RichAfrica hosted Namibia’s 2nd International Oil and Gas Conference on 17 – 19 September 2014 in Windhoek, Namibia. Themed ‘Unlocking and Optimising Our Resource Potential’ with a special focus on exploration, energy and investment, the conference focused was a success and attracted more than 200 participants. Some of the guest speakers included the Hon. Minister Isak Katali of Mines and Energy, Hon Minister Calle Schlettwein of Trade and Industry as well as Mrs. Brigitte Radebe, South African businesswoman and mining mogul. The event was sponsored by Tullow Oil, Shell, Murphy Oil & Gas, OMV to name a few.
With the endorsement of the Government of Namibia, RichAfrica conceptualised and organised Namibia’s 1st International Oil and Gas Conference on 6th – 7th September 2012 in Windhoek,Namibia. ‘The Road to Discovery and Beyond’ was the theme of the inaugural event and it aimed to explore the implications, opportunities and challenges associated with the discovery of petroleum resources in Namibia. The speakers included leading international and national experts, and industry players. The successful event was sponsored by BP, Chariot Oil & Gas and PwC and attracted more than 250 participants.
